What To Buy: on Sales!

Due to a lot of studing and life playing little jokes with me i'm not dedicating the time i wanted to put into this project.
Going out to take pictures is not the easiest thing when all your days are spent on books and when your photographer is doing the same.

So i decided to go for a monthly post, from now on, called What To Buy.
I'll suggest you what is hot and what is not, what you should totally buy if you are out for some shopping without regretting it.
Starting from today i'll try to walk you through the wild first day of SALES!! (at least in Milan are starting now on).
When we arrive in store and all around us is on sale, anything looks a bargain to us, but by thinking so we will soon end buying the whole store and empty out our credit card.
The main thing is stay concentrate, and focus only on what is really necessary for this summer.
My hints are:

maxi floral dress, a perfect easy pass for a sunny day during vacation or embellished with wooden high heels and accessories for a posh dinner out.
clogs (if you didn't buy it yet) or wooden high heels, comfy and stylish.
rompers, matched with a blazer on or just with sunglasses and wedges is a must have.
trench coat, finding it on sale is really a bargain, possibly beige or blue...classic is always better.

Have fun with your seeking of the right piece to buy.
I swear i'll doing the same and soon i'll show you what i found out during my trip fro sales!!

Bright colors

I was wearing: h&m shirt, zara jeans, texto shoes, vintage sunglasses

Here i am...

after 3 exams already done and 3 other to prepare!

Yesterday i decided to take a day off and go for some shopping. I needed to distract my mind a tiny bit.

When i saw this bright shirt and i couldn't stop my hands from taking the wallet out of my purse!

It was really what i was looking for...bright and intense colors are something anybody should dare this summer...starting from a shirt, or nail polish we should try with orange, fuchsia, coral, green and yellow but remember everything MUST BE shiny and sparkling.

Now i am on my books again, try to concentrate while planning a quick trip to Paris for july...just a day, just 24 hours, just me and the love of my life.

I think is the most romantic thing i have ever done.

Wanna ride with me?

Hey you!!!

Yesterday we shot these few pics in my garage, before heading out.
I finally had some time to take off from reality and enjoy a nice meal with my fiancée...we ended out eating at "San Vittore", a cute restaurant in a strange location of Milan (right in front of the prison from which it takes the name).
Sitting there on the patio took my mind back to july 2008, when i was back home for just three days during my american year, and we decided to have a pizza there with two of our friends...what a blast we had.
Going back there two years later with a completely different situation made me think a lot about all the things we went through together.
I'm glad to these memories, they make me appreciate even more what i have now.

Feeling quite gipsy

Having a park, right behind your house is somenthing quite special, especially when you have a dozen of exams to study for and outside is really sunny and hot!

I am trying to post as much as i can but unfortunately time is running faster than me, and the only exit i make is with my towel and my economics' books.

Lying down on the grass and keep underlining concepts is my only action of the day....

I decided to go for these wide leg pants, extremely confy and fresh and a basic shirt only enriched on the shoulders to keep it simple.

By the way just snapped this few pics on saturday afternoon when not feeling like studying anymore.

Love is what most counts in life

I was wearing: h&m basic white tee, zara pink skirt, brown mum's vintage belt, brown sandals

Beyond studying, and thinking about new projects for my future, i found the time to take off completely from real life and hung out with the love of my life.

We spent a beautiful afternoon on the grass, playing with flowers, talking, kissing and simply enjoying our life as a couple.

I went for a really simple outfit, seen a lot during this spring time on the D&G fashion show.

I opted for this pink ruffled skirt which i love incredibly bought this winter for my b-day and my mum's old high-waisted belt...a basic tee and some sandals on and the game was done.

I do much love playing with clothes!!!

Studying with stripes

I was wearing: h&m dress, berskha waterfall cardi, black rose wedges

Spring and summer runways were full of designers mixing wide stripes with thin, vertical with diagonal ones, and matching stripes with florals.

Stripes are undoubtedly a women's fashion staple each season, especially in summer time.

However you match them, they always seem to have it right! When paired with the right pieces, they can really enhance your figure and keep you looking up-to-date.

With beige shorts and a fitted blazer, horizontal stripes have a classic, nautical feel or paired with a toughened-up biker leather jacket and skinny jeans they seem to resolve most of our days.

Few days ago i opted for a striped dress matched with a black cardi to enjoy my afternoon in the nature studying for my next exams.

I wanted to stick for a down-to-heart outfit, not to impress anybody just my books!

Oui, nous avons Laduree!

Yesterday afternoon while having a stroll around the city, i stumbled into the new Ladurèe store just opened in Milan.

I’m talking about the famous french pastry, well known for its double-decker macarons.

Dressed up in gold and light green, with tons of ribbons and boxes on the shelves the store is so cozy and inviting.

Unfortunately it was closed and I couldn't have the chance to taste two of my favorite ones:
the caramel with salted butter or the coconut one.

Staring them from the window made me want to run there again with my Vespa, between my studies, and grab some of colorful ones, just to delight my palate while being grumpy on my books.

Next time sure i'll show you how good i am gobbling them up!!

Few days ago, watching the official trailer of "Sex and the City 2", i found my-self completely in love with the way Carrie was wearing her shirt while having lunch with the girls.

I tought about an old shirt i had, bought few years ago but ~~almost~~ never worn...too short to be put on by it-self!!

Tried in so many ways but anything caught me up, until yesterday when dressing up for an afternoon outside with my boyfriend, i tought about Carrie and her way of wearing it. How come she is always so fashionable?!

Two seconds, a top and a tie later i was looking in the mirror quite proud of my outcome.

I bet there will be so many people tie it all up this summer, that's my prediction!

Hey you guys, i'm so happy to introduce you to my lovely doggy named Trilly.
As you may know Chictopia, a website where you can show off your fashionable side uploading your pics, is now having a contest: "THE CHIC AND THE FUZZY".
Reading that i realized was the right time to give my furry, four-legged friend a moment in the spotlight!
I took her almost seven years ago and was love at first sight, i think there is a special bond between me and her.
She's tough and sweet just like me plus she walks like a really girly girl and she knows it!!!
Just so you know was not easy taking pics with her trying to run away from me...for this i opted for an easy outfit and a side bun, just in case i had to run to catch her.

Not an Ordinary Sunday

Hi my dears....i've been missing you!

Hope life finds you well but unfortunately is not the same for me, there are moments in life when everything seems to go on the wrong direction, but at one point i think everything must be back as it was before...i really believe in this.

Plus a nice herpes, or cold sore came out of my chin....i'm fighting so hard against him but nothing seems to work....it is really devoted to me.

Thanks God there's something called therapeutic shopping, nothing takes stress away better than shopping, or better say on a nice sunny day with boyfriend and friends coming along.

After a nice jacket (the one on the pics), a belt, few necklaces and an ice-cream i was recharged for another week.

I absolutely adored this sunday, brought to me so much joy.

Mine?!not so good, my boss broke her ankle and now she is forced at home....equal Giorgia has to work double shifts to cover her....can you believe it???

Let's take this happily, means more money to invest in my new pair of Tom Ford's sunglasses i've already shown you.

Do you like this dress?
It is one of my favorite, i love the fluffy waves it has and the mini bustier on the front, it's a perfect combo for me...looks really romantic in summer evenings and plus buying it on sales was my best investment.
I hope to show you more ways to wear it during this summer....you really should see how versatile it is!

ROUND SUNGLASSES: a must have for this summer

We saw this campaign and we were all astonished by the beauty of Carolyn Murphy.

More than this we ended up thinking about what a genius is Tom Ford, or better say who decided this shooting. Sexy, mischievous and in some ways ironic makes you thinking about what the heck am i waiting for to buy new sunglasses????

Ready enough to welcome my sixth pair of sunglasses(i am a maniac i know that) i decided to go for a round pair of them...THE MUST HAVE FOR THIS SEASON...i'm tellin you!!

Moschino opened up the s/s 10 fashion show with round white sunglasses shaped as little dasies and were given as a gift for all the guests.

Plus we saw different pair of round ones on Nicole Richie and Lauren Conrad, both of them icons of style:

The other day i spotted my pair of Tom Ford in a little shop's window and i'm willing to buy them before the end of the month. I think the little knot on the side gives a sort of elegant touch to my object of desire.

I know i am going to buy them for sure!

Easter Monday in the City

Hey there!

Easter is already gone, and i didn't have the time to take a break from the city.... yesterday it rained the whole day and it was too cold to go to the shores. Besides eating, eating and eating i spent my day watching tv.

Instead today with new sandals on my feet, my boyfriend and I walked around the Navigli area, in my opinion one of the best places in Milan, taking a stroll without a jacket was almost a dream come true.

I wore my mum's vintage silk shirt and my "revisited" clogs....i decided even if clogs are "the" item of the season, to not buying them...i have to feel confortable with my clothes, and i don't really care if they are really fashionable at the moment but are not my thing...so i opted for this brown sandals really similar but more on my personal style..what do you think?

Got Bangs!

Hello everybody!

One day, not long ago, surfing between various blogs i stepped into natasha's soiree's one.

She posted these beautiful pictures of Abbey Lee...and there my mind started thinking about fringe or also called bangs.

Determinated to look just like her, i decided to take a shot. I was sick and tired about my hair....always the same story!

Time to change for me, so I called my trusted hair-dresser and got an appointment to get my hair done.

Hi my dear followers!!!
the week just started, leaving behind a beautiful sunny week-end! (so bad i was working).
Finally the cherry trees are opening their blossoms and i couldn't avoid taking some pics with them....
I firmly think i'll plant some of them in my future backyard one day...just to be sure spring will come right to my house too.
Decided to wear my old leopard print shirt, it may just be because i think fits perfectly with neutral color and does not seem too exaggerate.
We saw a lot of animal prints in the winter time, but i have to admit i totally prefer these kind of prints when is warmer outside...also so proud of showing off my jade rose nail polish....looks the same color as the cherry trees!!

Hi there!

i'm starting to be a good girl again, posting after two days.

We all know it is Alice in Wonderland time in these days, everybody is crashing itself to the movie theatre to watch Tim Burton's masterpiece.

Was the movie amazing? I don't really know just because i'm not into these kind of 3d movies full of special effects....i know i know now you are asking yourself how can i say such an absurdity...am i insane?not really...just i prefer comedies or action movies instead of creepy ones with creepy creature in it.

The real reason is because i'm a little bit highly emotional and i risk to dream about them.

So forgive me Burton but you have officially lost 7€ out of your earnings. I guess you will survive the same.

But anyway i do love wonderland....i wish i can fall through the tunnel too in a parallel dimension and drink a magic potion able to transform myself into a tall girl (i wish was real!!)

so my question is:

oh my dear tree may i go to wonderland too?

would you open a secret passage for me?

can i be the new "Alice" with brown hair, h&m's dress, high waisted belt and boots?

for the ones loving the movie you can also leave me a comment about how wonderful it was, don't know maybe you can convince me to go watch it!

Stripes and wedges

Here we go...monday is back, a new week becomes and we go straight to the spring!!!
But unfortunately the weather seems not looking at the calendar yet...snow is suppose to come again, and cold makes so difficult to take pics outside.
Nothing can stop me, not even the brutal cold...just few pics to show you my new wedges bought it almost 2weeks ago, and my favorite striped dress craving to wear it with a black leather jacket and pumps!!!
My job is really gratifying these days...for the ones not knowing it i'm a sales girl for Max&Co (MaxMara group) when i'm not in university.
The new collection is available in the stores and touching silk, viscose, linen and all the summery colorful fabrics make me work even more positively....dressing people with ruffles, jeans, white, clogs and more is so much fun!!!

Being Enthusiastic

Henry Ford once said: “Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes shine to the stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait. The grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas.”

It is really from here that i want to start today, having dreams, be enthusiastic about somenthing, achieve your goals...you have to believe in them, follow them and never look back.

This is what i decided to do beginning this blog....in pursuit of my dreams with enthusiasm.

I don't know where all of this will bring me but for now i want to give it a shot.

So here i am going to the playground, having fun and loving life with my new hand-made (by me) shorts.

It was a pair of jeans from Zara, bought it two years ago in Washington, when i was used to live in the States..so many memories linked to that pair of jeans..how could i get rid of it?NO WAY!!

Then i thought about cutting it, sawing and making a perfect pair of shorts...so it can last forever!

You should do the same.

My First Fashion Day

Can you believe it?

Sunday 28th february, was my first day of Fashion Shows.

The whole night i thought about what to wear for the day i was dreaming for since i was young.

Decided! Black dress with shoulder pads, black tights, beige leather jacket, my new wedges, high waisted belt and the leopard necklace.

Ready to go with my lovely photographer/boyfriend we headed out to Roberto Cavalli's show...was there that the dream came true...getting off a black Mercedes, right in front of me, there was Rachel Zoe...

oh my...she was stunning as you can see in the picture, anything she was wearing was perfect..the vernis platforms, the sunglasses, the amazing coat...i do not have words to explain my excitement in that moment.

Following her, an other girl deserved a pic we thought..

These ladies had a great sense of style, and while walking they looked graceful.

After that the rain started pouring, and we had to change location really quickly to Missoni's show..a long queue attended us, but was well worthed because we have gotten a ringside seat.

HOW BEAUTIFUL IS THAT?

Models started walking just in front of us...under the courtyard was freezing but they seemed not feeling it.

Can you see it..right there was Sasha Pivovarova, beautiful as always.

The only negative thing i want to point out was watching the models' thinness, i never thought some of them could be so thin. It is really sad.

Was already 5.30pm....we had to run again to the editorial office of DonnaModerna, an italian magazine, where some other italian bloggers and I had the possibility to write an article on the magazine's website about the show. You can take a look on us working on that or even read the article done here (i'm sorry only in italian)

Studded Shoulders

Good morning my dears...

here in Milan the sun is finally coming out, that's good for pics and also for the fashion week in process during these days.

Today is the day Anna Wintour is gonna come....which shows she will attend? and which not? we'll see...

For me is not so busy as i wished, dreamed to run from one show to another...instead i'm just working in the evenings and finding locations for the next shoots with my bf in the mornings.

Yesterday we found this beautiful bridge, as you may noticed i am in love with bridges and canals...(i should live in Amsterdam or Paris i guess) and we had such a great time trying to take pics with just the sky behind me...a strange sense of freedom invaded me...oh my....i dream an attic one day where you can look the whole city from your apartment.

Big projects for the week end...i'm gonna go out of some shows to snap few pics for you...

Floral Bomb: a colour splash from the Italian fashion bloggers. Get Ready, spring is on its way!

Hi everybody!

Today i was surfing around the net when i discovered an initiative sponsored by some italian fashion bloggers. The goal was: publish today, the 24th of February 2010, a floral outfit, not only to celebrate one of the trends for the next spring, but also to make our voice heard. All this to catch the attention of the fashion system and the trade press on the Italian fashion blogs phenomenon, still little known and widespread.

There was also a list of blogs....and mine??!!it wasn't there....

I do not know how to write here about my displeasure, but lucky enough i had some pics taken just this morning where i was wearing a zara's floral blouse....so what fits best with this subject???!!

Now is official, i have to do something for letting people know about this blog...it's been unknown for too much time.

Hello Darlings...

This week started really good, maybe was the past week-end that left in the air sweet momeries, or maybe my new boots that i have finally got after one month of waiting.

To celebrate them i decided to go out for dinner with my bf, i put on my favorite dress and a long blazer and we headed out in Verona looking for a good place to eat...we ended up eating pizza, as usual, in a really classy one, so my outfit was appropriate i would say.

What do you think?

Once back in the hotel, we took these picture...i was completely in love with the room's wall paper, i could not resist of shooting at least one pic leaned on it.

Be my Valentine in Verona

Just home after a romantic week-end in Verona. My boyfriend and I decided to spend valentine's day in Romeo and Juliet's town!
how sweet is that?!!
It is a lovely place to be with your significant other, especially when is valentine's and you can feel the atmosphere of that town full of love and history...now i understand why shakespere decided to write just about these two guys Romeo & Juliet and their love, capable to mess up all the restrictions of that age.
Looking at Juliet's balcony i wondered if our love could ever be so strong...for now i think is just as deep as their.

Hello Girls!i didn't quit, don't worry...i just lost myself into books and cousins visiting from far away that i didn't even have the time to take new pictures.

My boyfriend just took this one from his cell phone while i was reading an articol on an italian newspaper and having a nice ginseng coffee.

Milan Fashion Week has been thrown into chaos...that's because Anna Wintour (for the ones not knowing her she's the editor of Vogue America and the inspiring muse of "The Devil Wears Prada" ) decided to complain about the week's lenght. And now the Designers are in panic.

She called few people to suggest that 3 days of fashion shows are more than enough and she can't waist one entire week of her busy life.
The Fashion Week is supposed to be from the 24th of february until the 1st of march but she confirms her availability just for the week-end.

So some of the biggest fashion designers as Prada, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Versus and more decided to move their shows to the three days of Anna.
That's so bad since Italian houses don't want to show when she's not in town."Anna Wintour, the woman who holds Italian fashion in the palm of her hand," ran a headline in Corriere della Sera, the country's most respected broadsheet.

How bad is that?? We don't need her...We were one of the most important country in fashion even before she was born so why all this running around...Fendi was Fendi already 30 years ago and the whole world knew about the brand...the same was for Prada and Armani.

It's absolutely crazy.

Paris Fashion Week had resisted similar suggestions for the biggest fashion brands to be concentrated into a few days.
"They have a bit more spirit in Paris and they said no," said Mr Borselli the president of the Italian Fashion Chamber . "The Italian fashion industry is the best in the world but, in contrast to the French, they don't seem to recognise their own worth."

As one columnist of "The New York Times" once wrote blue is the new black.

Girls wear it all the times: to work, to evenings events, to afternoon strolls.

Intellectual, reassuring, bright, intense, chic.

I personally love it, is one of my fav colours.

All started from Carrie Bradshaw in the movie "Sex and the City" where she did anything to get back her Manolo Blahnik Something Blue Satin Pump and now the catwalk ss 10 was full of it.

I did the same...get out my blue trench from last year bought one afternoon at the Lake and rock it on the streets of Milan.

Hello girls!!!A beautiful sunny sunday doesn't makes you happy to be alive?? for me it works like this..

I had the chance to be off from work today and enjoy the afternoon with my boyfriend in a beautiful park close to my house. Despite the brutal cold the sun payed back so just for a few we had the illusion spring was here.
I had my mum's fur keeping me warm and my super duper old cachemire turtleneck that i will never give away for no reason in the world!
I am really happy about my life lately....i wish i were already done with university but i'm working on that...so we'll see in a few years!

Simply Amazing: Olivia Palermo

Anytime i used to watch "The City" there was a girl able to catch my eyes beyond any expectation...every outfit she had it on was simply amazing and completely so on my style.
I wanted to have all her closet, and even though i knew was the production dressing her, i firmly believed that girl had some great potencial.
She loves ruffles, black and white, flowers and blazer just like me.
Olivia Palermo make me think how I wanna be in a few years, i mean the style i wanna look up....in fashion anything i will put on, it's great..if i see something that i will never put it on, it's not beautiful enough for me.
That's the same with her, anything she owns will fit completely in my closet. i bet!
Anyway she is a socialite, that means she has tons of money...not really like me and she can afford shoes from 600$, bags and much more that until i don't graduate from university and i don't find a satisfying job, i will never be able to afford.
She is my muse's style. that's what i decree.

Morning Colors

Good Morning Ladies! today i feel really in a good mood, so i decided to give you more tips about the upcoming season.
As we notice on the catwalk taupe is the color of the summer...not only for clothes but also as nail color.
i spotted it on a chanel's model

so i decided to put on a perfect outfit to best match with the new buy i was gonna make: my chanel Le Vernis Particuliere #505.

First shown a few months ago during Paris Fashion Week, Particuliere is another Peter Phillips creation, sensational as last season's Jade.

It's beautiful in its own unique way, as long as you're into taupe color on your nails. Like Jade, it seems out of the season for which it was released- it definitely doesn't say "spring" but it's so creamy and sweet that i already love it.

FENDI + BURBERRY = PERFECTION

My love for fashion is already well known, but my indistinct passion for Burberry and Fendi bloomed out just one year ago when flipping through the pages of vogue i found this campaign:

I thought it was brilliant, the sense of movement they inspire is incredible...maybe it is because the photographer is one of my favorite: Mario Testino...or maybe because i do consider Lily Donaldson simply gorgeous.

Anyway this year i looked at the ss10 fashions' shows with more attention.

Do were Burberry and Fendi ready to make a hit? or not?

Surprise surprise i found them even captivating than last year..

When it's foggy outside and really cold i would like to sit all day long on my couch, maybe with a plaid on me, a cup of tea and my bf cuddling me...isn't sweet?
But then real life comes along and i have to realize that i must go to work, so why not using my plaid shirt to think all day long, anytime i'll find a mirror, about my ideal where we would be cozy on the couch.

Not working today..i had some time to go out and take a stroll around the city.

Now that i'm back in Italy after living one year on the States, i really appreciate more how beautiful and rich of history my place is.

Milan always gets a bad reputation as Italy's industrial city but i think that's completely wrong. It is a thriving modern city and the center of fashion and design plus it has a tremendous cultural influence on the rest of Italy, Europe and the World.

And now that the Dome is back in pink how can't you die for it...i could just stare at it for hours and hours, especially when the sunset is there.

CRAVING FOR SUN

The sun was shining these past two days here in Milan...at least in the mornings!
When the weather is good i always think about spring time, i wish it were already here...so even though it's not time yet i tried to look forward anyway and i picked the best looks (at my advice of course!) of the fashion shows about spring/summer 2010.

The first day of the year just passed and i didn't even realize it...

I've been so busy since yesterday afternoon looking for my belt, going around Milan finding the right one to add to my dress...until i stepped into Zara and after one hour of sifting out i found a NEW DRESS for new years'eve...so here i come, going out for a belt and coming home with a dress!

Few hours later i was out to celebrate with family and boyfriend, eating an incredible meal, broaching champagne and wishing everybody a happy new year.

What a year was the 2009!

Happy to say goodbye to it and ready as never to welcome the new one..still with the love of my life. Wishing you a happy new years full of happiness, love and luck.

Don't call me crazy please...I do not have hobbies, as tennis, golf, volley or so on...when i was little i never known what to write or say as somebody asking me that question. Growing up i understood the only thing that counts to me is fashion, it's the beauty of things: clothes, shoes, homes, places that attracts me. They are the only things can make me so excited.
Is that bad? having this obsessive passion for reaching the perfection in anything i do?
